Emergency First Aid at Work with Sports Injury Module

This course is particularly of interest to PE staff within schools as in addition to the Emergency First Aid at Work course syllabus, the following topics are covered in a bolt-on Sports Injury Module (SIM):

  • Management of Soft Tissue Injuries/ Fractures /Dislocations
  • Return to play decisions post injury (i.e. training or during sports fixtures)
  • Asthma
  • Diabetes
  • Anaphylaxis (including Epipen training with a training unit)

For the core course syllabus see the Emergency First Aid at Work course details.  This SIM bolt-on module can be added to a 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course for in-house groups by slightly lengthening the course timings. The course can be delivered over a day at the clients' premises e.g. on an inset day, or subject to our trainers' availability can be delivered over two twilight sessions e.g. 2.30pm - 6.30pm

If required an Advanced Sports Injury Module can also be delivered to cover other more serious injuries including to the head and spine. This does require a longer course timing and may not enable a course to be completed over a single day. Please contact the office to discuss your requirements.
